In June 2023, Interfreight Engineering Co., Ltd. was selected as the Exclusive Nominated Forwarder for the Australian hydrogen EPC project by JGC Corporation. The entire volume of this project, named the Gladstone H2 Ecosystem (GH2E), is expected to be over 30,000 F/T, and Interfreight Engineering Co., Ltd. is scheduled to handle freight transportation for the entire range, including both on-shore and off-shore.

This Hydrogen project will be carried out at the Alumina refinery site operated by Australian mining company, Rio Tinto Ltd. Upon completion, it will produce 250 tons of hydrogen annually, with an expected effect of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by converting natural gas, used as fuel at the Alumina refinery, into hydrogen.

호주 GH2E(Hydrogen) 프로젝트 물류계약 수주

2023년 6월 인터프레이트 엔지니어링㈜은 JGC Corporation이 수주한 호주 Hydrogen EPC(Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) 프로젝트의 Exclusive Nominated Forwarder로 선정되었다. Gladstone H2 Ecosystem(GH2E)으로 명명된 이번 프로젝트의 전체 물량은 30,000 F/T(Freight Ton) 이상으로 예상되며, 인터프레이트 엔지니어링㈜은 On, Off-shore를 포함한 전 구간의 화물 운송을 수행할 예정이다. 이번 Hydrogen 프로젝트는 호주의 광산기업 Rio Tinto Ltd.가 운영하는 Alumina 제련소 부지에서 진행된다. 완공 후 연간 250톤의 수소를 생산할 것이며, Alumina 제련소에서 연료로 사용되는 일반 천연가스를 수소로 전환함으로써 이산화탄소 배출량을 감소시키는 효과를 가져올 것으로 예상된다.
